Did you know that up to 80% of what children are taught in school can be lost in the three months of summer?
Are you apprehensive about your child’s adjustment to school after three months of play?
Knowledge needs to be reinforced quickly and continuously. Summer is a great time to build confidence and self-esteem by reviewing and previewing classroom skills. Give your child the head start they deserve by preparing them for the school year ahead.
Learning is a process- an ongoing experience and students either advance or fall back. Keep those brains up and running by joining the Summer Bridge Program.
For students entering 1st to 6th grade, our program includes materials in math, reading, language arts, and writing. There are also additional activities in geography and science. Through daily practice, students will reinforce math skills and have an understanding of math fundamentals. They will develop reading comprehension skills and abilities to communicate using their writing skills through grammar practice and writing activities. Comprehensive word lists, which contain words to sound, read, and spell, challenge and encourage students to build their vocabulary. We also encourage all students to read books daily from the reading book list based on the Accelerated Reader Program.
For 2009, our program will run Monday through Thursday from July 6th to August 27th . We offer a morning session 10-12 and an afternoon session 1-3. You can choose to join us for the entire eight weeks, or join only the weeks that you want. You can also decide how many days a week you will attend classes. The cost of the program is $80 per week for one class. Each additional class within the week is $70. There is also a $30 materials fee.
